Nothing is more optimistic than an empty building Commercial real estate with nobody in it: a hotel storefront boarded and marked, a bank lobby closed forever, an old interior mid-abandonment, a cold industrial floor, one apartment so clean it stinks, a “for lease” storefront wallpapered in graffiti, spit and posters, the other kind of vacant and an office floor still waiting on its walls that will never be installed.
